We love this lovely 15 years old talent Birdy! Check out her “Skinny Love” by Bon Iver, her self titled debut album.
Does this teenage siren really appreciate the lyrics she’s singing, mostly written by men twice her age? That’s a matter of conjecture, but the LP’s sole original – an ambiguous break-up song called Without a Word – suggests her emotional intensity is no pose. Who cares, we just love her take us fly.
NEW YOUNG TALENT FEATURED on FACT MAGAZINE"The bushy-tailed Lancaster duo are beginning to cause a stir with their well-crafted productions.
As new software enables people to hear dance music quicker and make it cheaper, producers are understandably getting younger and younger. At seventeen and eighteen, however, Bondax are definitely chicks amongst the spring chickens. Although they’ve been upping tracks to their Soundcloud for a little while now, it’s ‘Just Us’ that has been getting them airplay and attention.
At first listen, and despite the claims of the title, ‘Just Us’, doesn’t seem to be doing anything especially unique: dubbed out vocals and off-kilter beats are hardly distinctive calling cards these days. But repeated listens show that Bondax’s music is full of unusual touches. The way the icy atmospherics give way to crisp two-step bounce at the halfway mark; the chopped up sibilants and fricatives sprinkled into the mix; the surprisingly punchy kick-drum – there’s real ambition at work here. More than anything, it’s a sensuous record, by turns balmy and chilly.
An as-yet-untitled EP is due out on SUPER (not to be confused with McFly’s label of the same name) in the coming months. ‘Just Us’ is available to stream and to download below, via the Boiler Room."

Anyone here love oldies? is it because it’s oldies or it’s because there is a certain touch and emotion that is hard to replicated or to be found these days like our beloved vintage items?
Today, like many of the days, this songs is on our playlist. One of our best favourite (our best of best: Jacque Brel (the very original, and Nina Simone’s one). Do you feel the song or you have your own pick? Let us know which version you like the most…..
We love Zaz in Paris before her album released; released and even now close to X’mas.
Check her young yet very attractive accoustic voice out @ Montmartre – Les Passants
her voice is like the last bite of lyrics :
” Par les temps je cours à l’expression
Chaque émotion ressentie
Me donne envie d’exprimer les non-dits
Et que justice soit faite dans nos pauvres vies endormies”
==> (translated)
“These days I run toward expression
Every emotion I feel
Makes me want to express what is left unsaid
And justice to be done in our poor sleeping lives”
Here at CAROLE FORÊT VINTAGE we love meet and get personal with bands and music that steal our hearts and maybe yours too, so we were very excited we recently met Pierre Faa, composer from Peppermoonat Le Quincampe, a very sweet salon du tea in Paris. Peppermoon surely stole our hearts. Pierre is a gentle, passionate and talented song writer. We chat about his music and end up the world over cafe and a lovely cake.
Peppermoon is a Paris based pop trio. Their songs sound like visiting a new flat where you’re gonna live and be happy. Iris’ dreamy vocals and Benoît’s delicate guitars enlight the piano based melodies composed by Pierre Faa.
Peppermoon’s atmosphere is a tribute to 60s pop goddesses as Françoise Hardy, Jane Birkin and Marie Laforêt, but it’s also influenced by 90s and 00s indie stars as The Divine Comedy, Sam Phillips, Tori Amos, Belle & Sebastian.
First time we heard was on Deezer, It was Peppermoon’s “Porque Te Vas” playing. (Deezer : a radio of different type of music we can pick from. Lots of French RnB, Pop if you keen).
We love the original version but this version is absolutely beautiful. Check it out. We can’t wait to see what they will do next!
